What is Connected Speaking?
Connected Speaking uses a proven approach to help individuals speak and engage with confidence and clarity. With our training, learn to:

-
Embrace your natural communication style
-
Authentically connect in groups and 1:1
-
Lead from a more connected place, in the spotlight and in the everyday

Do you have all the expertise and knowledge inside you but struggle to communicate it compellingly?
Do you practice presentations but find nerves and anxiety take over when it matters?
Do you find it challenging to be truly present when you communicate?
Do you feel constrained by the need to stick to a tight script, worried your authentic voice and ideas won’t be valued?
In small group training, both online and in-person, develop powerful, presence-based communication and relationship-building skills. Through interactive coaching and peer support, gain lasting confidence and ease in your natural expression.
Our approach helps individuals connect authentically—speaking with clients, teams, or audiences of 100. Online or in-person, one meaningful conversation at a time.

Our approach is based on the 5 Connected Principles, drawn from methods pioneered by Lee Glickstein, the founder of Speaking Circles®. Hover over each one to learn more (not available on mobile).

1. Connected Breath: Ground with full, intentional breaths
Your breath is your anchor. Consciously taking full breaths—before and during any interaction— allows for natural pauses and creates shared stillness between you and your listeners. It calms your nerves, keeps you grounded, and helps others connect with your message.

2. Connected 1:1: Converse with one person at a time
When addressing a group, it's natural to scan the room—but this can heighten tension. Instead, Connected Speaking teaches you to engage one person at a time, creating ease and deeper connection. This shift transforms how you’re received, making your presence more grounded and your communication more impactful.

3. Connected Listening: See and acknowledge your listeners
Building trust starts with seeing and hearing others—especially in virtual and hybrid spaces. When you're preoccupied with how you're perceived, it's easy to overlook your listeners, missing the opportunity to truly connect. Instead, by listening even while speaking (yes, it’s possible!), and recognizing the best in those around you, you foster belonging and mutual respect—allowing you to be truly seen and heard, too.

4. Connected Presence: Be in the moment
When someone reads from a script, it’s hard to stay engaged—even if their content is valuable. True presence makes you more compelling, equipping you to handle tough questions, pivot in discussions, and improvise with ease. As you build confidence in thinking on your feet, your ideas land with clarity, authenticity, and resonance.

5. Connected You: Let who you are shine through
Authentic presence is the key to meaningful communication. When you show up with your full attention and genuine presence, people connect not just with your words, but with who you are. Connected Speaking helps you trust your unique strengths, so your authentic expression and natural magnetism shine through.
